About Forthweb
Forthweb are an experienced Web Design and Development company, based in East Lothian near Edinburgh, Scotland. Offering simple, high quality, affordable, low cost websites, and commercially successful "Tableless" Websites, and also ethical SEO services.
Although Forthweb are an East Lothian company it does not mean I build websites for only Edinburgh or East Lothian clients and I have clients in places as far away as Bulgaria.
When it comes to developing web sites I prefer to build unique bespoke design sites, without templates or tables. As a result my clients get a unique, good looking website that is different to the rest of the crowd. (If you want a website built with a Wordpress template then I can do that too.) Low cost websites do not have to be low quality.
For example if you are just starting up in business in the Edinburgh area and want one of my web business cards I will not restrict you to a choice of half a dozen template designs. As a Web Designer I will build you a bespoke page that suits your business. Then when you are ready for a proper web site, we can incorporate the design of the business card into your new site. If you have an old website, that you look the like of, perhaps built using tables, I can update and optimise it to perform better whilst keeping the appearance of your old design.
From Domain Name to Website
It's quite a daunting thought starting your first web site, but at Forthweb we will guide you through every step of the way. First you need a domain name, thats a name for your website, like our "domain name" www.forthweb.co.uk. If you already have one great, but if not we can get one for you. If the name you want isn't available then we will suggest some alternatives.
Once you have a domain name we can look at designing you a website. We will initially create a holding page, because the sooner your chosen domain name is picked up by Google and other search engines the better.
We host and design the website for you. Once it is built we don't abandon you but we will continue to monitor your site and, send statistics showing how many people visit it.
